As a Team Member /Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and food service will contribute to an exceptional café experience, ensuring that every guest leaves satisfied. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care. Operate the POS system efficiently, handling cash transactions and credit card payments accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and market area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, assisting with restocking as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while managing time effectively. Uphold the café’s standards for quality and presentation in all food and beverage offerings. Experience Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous. Strong cash handling skills and basic math proficiency are essential for accurate transactions. Knowledge of retail math concepts related to inventory management is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently while maintaining quality service. A commitment to food safety practices within the food industry is necessary for maintaining a safe environment.
