Barista/Cashier Eatery 117 117 Spears Creek Church Rd, Elgin, SC 29045 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while delivering exceptional service and high-quality beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer interaction will enhance the overall experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Operate the espresso machine and other café equipment efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations during food preparation and service. Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, take orders, and offer recommendations based on their preferences. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed. Keep the café area clean and organized, including tables, counters, and equipment to ensure a pleasant environment for customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while effectively managing time. Experience Previous experience in a café or retail environment is required Familiarity with cash handling practices and retail math is essential for accurate transactions. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
