Barista/Server/Bartender Newry General Store & Cafe 701 Broadway Street, Seneca, SC 29672 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Server/Barista/Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages. As a Server, you will be serving our seated guests in our dining area. We also host events in our upstairs event venue where you will be assisting with serving food and beverages. As a Bartender, you will be serving alcoholic beverages to our seated guests in our dining area and in our bar area. •Applicants must be 21 years or older due to the requirements of serving alcohol in the restaurant and at private events.• Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic beverages. Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently to process customer transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar and bar areas, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; restock as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Adhere to food handling safety regulations and maintain compliance with health standards. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems is a plus. Bartending experience is a plus but not required. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively. Excellent sales skills to promote menu items and enhance customer experience. A commitment to providing outstanding customer service with a friendly demeanor.
