Mug Shot Coffee just opened August 1st 2024 and we are still navigating our way through business ownership. We are currently seeking a long-term PT Barista to help fill in gaps in the schedule. The hours and days per week are not set and are flexible to accommodate school or other jobs. Shifts could be as short as 2 hours during a rush or a full 8 hour day, but will not exceed 20 hours per week. Weekend shifts may be assigned too, if needed. Though we can accommodate school schedules, the ideal candidate will still be able to work some week days during the school year. This position is not for the ‘summer only’ or ‘school year only’. Must have reliable transportation. Job Overview As a Barista, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our drive-thru operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be reliable and possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask. • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing assistance with purchases and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Prepare and maintain the store’s food and beverage offerings, including coffee and muffins, in accordance with food safety and handling standards and per the shop’s recipe processes.
• Operate the cash register and POS system efficiently, accurately processing transactions and handling cash and credit payments.
• Operates the drive-thru orders inside and outside when necessary. Is willing to be outside to take orders when the weather is nice and the drive-thru is congested.
• Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and perform visual merchandising tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, especially the coffee equipment.
• Assist with coffee preparation and presentation, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of retail math, including pricing and inventory management.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a productive work pace.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives. Skills

Note:

the pay is the taxable per hour rate, not including tips. Pay plus tips is closer to $12.00 / hr.
