We have been operating for over a year and are expanding to East Nashville this Summer 2025.

Pay:

$10 hourly plus tips ($22-30 per hour including tips)

Shift Hours:

Monday – Friday 6am-3pm | Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm As a Barista at Benji’s Bagel and Coffee House, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages as well as specialty drinks while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your passion for coffee and dedication to providing excellent customer service will contribute to the success of our shop

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and Serve Coffee:

Expertly brew coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm, providing recommendations, and answering questions about our coffee offerings and menu items.

Cash Handling:

Process customer transactions (as needed) accurately and efficiently using a cash register in a point of sale system

Maintain Cleanliness:

Keep coffee bar and surrounding areas clean and tidy, including regularly sanitizing equipment, counters and seating areas

Inventory Management:

Monitor and restock coffee supplies and ingredients as needed. Relay low stock to management for reorder to ensure seamless operations

Quality Control:

Maintain a high standard of quality in all coffee preparations, adhering to company standards for taste, presentation and timing

Collaboration:

Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with fellow baristas and other team members to ensure smooth shifts and a positive work environment

Product Knowledge:

Stay informed about our coffee offerings, seasonal promotions, and any special items to provide accurate information to customers

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is required Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about different coffee varieties and brewing methods Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and some holidays Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, iced coffee and tea Assist in the preparation of food items, such as bagels and pastries Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking their orders and answering questions about menu items Process customer payments accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils Restock inventory and keep track of supplies, placing orders as needed Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and preparation techniques Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient operations during busy periods
