Bartender Bar580/Scratch Kitchen 580 Canal Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your expertise in the food and beverage industry will contribute to an enjoyable experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Engage with customers, providing friendly service and recommendations based on their tastes. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including Toast POS. Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering when necessary. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods or catering events. Stay updated on drink trends and new menu items to enhance customer experience. Qualifications Previous experience in bartending or food service is preferred; experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus. Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse clientele. Familiarity with retail math for managing tabs and processing payments effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be of legal serving age according to state regulations; VT liquor license required. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
