Bartender Housatonic House Restaurant Bar 337 Roosevelt Drive, Seymour, CT 06483 Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. This role involves creating exceptional drink experiences for our guests in various settings, including banquets, nightclubs, and fine dining establishments. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Engage with guests to provide recommendations and ensure satisfaction with their drink selections. Handle cash transactions accurately using Aloha POS or similar systems. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and supplies; assist with ordering as needed. Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers. Provide assistance during events such as banquets or private parties, ensuring smooth operations. Qualifications Previous bartending experience in a restaurant and bar is required, Familiarity with POS is required. Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of food handling practices and responsible alcohol service guidelines. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with guests. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. A passion for the food industry and a desire to learn more about mixology techniques.
