Primary Purpose:

Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, interacts with members and guests, manages food service, and ensures responsible alcohol service, all while maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

No Essential Job Functions:

1. Provides immediate attention to members and guests upon arrival to ensure a quality dining experience. 2. Mixes cocktails and other alcoholic beverages according to recipes or member / guests’ requests. 3. Serves wine, beer and other drinks: ensues drinks are prepared and served correctly, including proper glassware and temperature. 4. Prepares fruit and other garnishes for drinks. 5. Verifies customer age and ensures responsible alcohol service. 6. Assists with bar inventory management and ordering supplies, including stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and other supplies. 7. Participates in bar training and development programs. 8. Processes food and beverage checks daily: verifies the accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips, and all other charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures. 9. Performs and completes assigned side work tasks for opening procedures to ensure smooth operation of services. 10. Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food & Beverage Manager. 11. Suggests menu items and recites the soup of the day and chef’s special to members and guests. 12. Coordinates food service. Takes members’ and guests’ orders, follows sanitation requirements, safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures as sanctions to ensure compliance with all state, local, and club laws. 13. Maintains a clean and organized bar area. 14. Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, etc. 15. Assists other servers in their tasks as needed. 16. Performs clean-up and end of shift closing duties. 17. Completes special projects as assigned. 18. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
