Beverage Preparation:

Skillfully mix and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, while adhering to established recipes and standards.

Menu Knowledge:

Possess an in-depth knowledge of the drink menu, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and presentation. Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.

Customer Interaction:

Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take drink orders, offer suggestions, and provide a personalized experience.

Presentation:

Ensure drinks are visually appealing and well-presented, using garnishes and glassware appropriately to enhance the overall drink experience.

Bar Setup and Maintenance:

Prepare the bar area for service, ensuring that all necessary tools, ingredients, and supplies are available. Keep the bar area clean and organized throughout the shift.

Cash Handling :

Process payment transactions accurately, manage tabs, and handle cash and credit card transactions. Maintain an organized cash register and provide accurate change.

Entertainment and Engagement:

Provide entertainment and engage with customers by offering recommendations and creating a lively atmosphere. Tend to guests at the bar, making them feel welcomed and valued.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage beverage inventory, restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management. Assist with inventory counts and ordering.

Compliance:

Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the sale and consumption of alcohol. Verify customer age and refuse service to underage or intoxicated individuals.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Skills and Requirements:

Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and active listening skills. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
