Responsible for mixing and serving drinks for members and their guests, directly at the Bar or through waitstaff orders. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare mixed beverages using an extensive range of ingredients.
  • Take beverage orders from members and waitstaff and serve drinks as requested while paying extreme attention to detail.
  • Satisfy member requests in a timely manner.
  • Assess member preferences and offer drink recommendations.
  • Provide a positive and friendly member experience by interacting with members.
  • Collect payments and provide receipts.
  • Check identification to verify legal age requirements.
  • Maintain a well-stocked bar with adequate supplies of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories.
  • Clean the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
  • Place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies as needed.
  • Slice, remove pits, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.
  • Plan bar menus and create unique drinks.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Answer phone calls for to-go orders, Club information, and reservation notes.
  • Assists with FOH/BOH needs when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by Dining Room Manager, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage and/or Director of Food and Beverage. Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform math operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Have knowledge of inventory software and the point of sale (POS) system.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work in humid temperature settings, outdoor patio weather conditions, and extreme cold temperature from freezer.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
