THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about creating memorable dining experiences? We’re seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Bistro & Bar Attendant at the Courtyard Hotel by Mariott. Responsibilities:

Create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for our guests Greet and meet the needs of our guests Follow protocols and guidelines Cooking/Operate hot cooking equipment Bartending Barista service Assist with banquets and events as needed Monitor and adjust to meet demand while reducing waste Assist guests, fulfill special requests and maintain a positive attitude Keep the coffee station fresh, stocked, and clean Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dining area, and beverage stations Perform post-service cleaning and sanitization Handle food deliveries and manage waste disposal Assist and cross-train in other departments as required Take and monitor inventory Receive and inspect food orders Collaborate with teammates and go the extra mile to enhance the guest experience. Follow safety and sanitization regulations. Complete up-to-date Brand Service training and abide by brand standards.

Hours:
Variable Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. Safe Serve Certified with knowledge of food safety and sanitization protocols. Previous experience as a breakfast attendant, cook, or in a similar role. Ability to operate hot cooking equipment. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Organizational skills with attention to detail. Problem-solving and reasoning abilities. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changes. Team-player with the flexibility to work varied schedules.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift. Manual dexterity for handling and reaching. Physical strength to lift, move, or carry items exceeding 50 pounds. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Language and Environment:

Good command of the English language. Ability to work in a moderate to noisy environment typical of the hospitality industry.
