Position Summary:
As a Server at Palm & Ivy, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a world-class dining experience to our guests. You will be responsible for providing attentive and personalized service, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of our menu and beverage offerings, and anticipating and fulfilling the needs of our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus. Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommended pairings. Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen, ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions are accommodated. Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to proper service standards. Anticipate and respond to guests’ needs, including refilling beverages, clearing dishes, and addressing any concerns or requests. Demonstrate a deep understanding of wine and beverage offerings, assisting guests in making selections and offering pairing suggestions. Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently, including processing credit card transactions and providing change as needed. Maintain a clean and well-organized work area, including polishing glassware and silverware. Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team members to ensure smooth service and a cohesive dining experience. Uphold a positive attitude, professionalism, and a guest-first approach to hospitality in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting. Proficiency in food and beverage knowledge, including wine and cocktail service. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen ability to connect with guests. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Reliable and punctual, consistently arriving on time for scheduled shifts. Team-oriented mindset, fostering cooperation and harmony among coworkers.
