We’re looking for a dedicated Barback/Prep Person to join our passionate team and help elevate the guest experience.

Position Overview:

As a Barback/Prep Person at The Wildflower, you’ll be an integral part of our bar team. This position is designed for someone eager to learn and grow into a bartender role. You’ll support bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stocked, organized, and clean while providing excellent customer service behind the scenes. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for prepping ingredients and supplies, keeping everything ready for busy shifts. You’ll also have the opportunity to fill in for bartenders as needed, gaining hands-on experience and training to eventually take on bartender shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and managing their stations Replenish glassware, garnishes, and supplies throughout the shift Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and bar tools Stock and restock liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies as needed Prepare and organize ingredients (like fruits, herbs, syrups, etc.) for the bar and ensure they are always fresh and ready Assist with prepping garnishes and ensuring all supplies are stocked and organized for each shift Ensure the bar is ready for the next shift, including setting up and breaking down stations Assist in keeping the bar area safe and compliant with health and safety regulations Provide support in managing waste and emptying bins during and after shifts Assist with guest service when necessary, including greeting and helping customers in the bar area Fill in for bartenders during scheduled shifts as needed, gaining hands-on experience and training

Qualifications:

Previous barback or prep experience is preferred but not required Strong work ethic and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds) Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset Flexible schedule, including weekends and nights Passion for hospitality and a positive attitude Ambition to become a bartender and willingness to learn the craft Why The Wildflower?
