Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Bartender with management responsibilities to oversee the daily operations of our bar. This hybrid role requires a talented mixologist with strong leadership skills to ensure excellent customer service, maintain inventory, train staff, and contribute to a vibrant and efficient bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Supervise, train, and mentor bar staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage. Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate daily objectives and service goals. Order all items needed for bar & restaurant from Vendors Handle conflict resolution and ensure team cohesion and morale.
Bartending Duties:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences. Engage with guests to create a welcoming, memorable experience. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems accurately.
Operations & Inventory:
Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory of all bar supplies, beverages, and tools. Monitor stock levels and minimize waste through proper storage and usage tracking. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including alcohol service laws. Work with suppliers and vendors to manage pricing and product selection.
Financial Oversight:
Assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives. Monitor bar sales and implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability. Track performance metrics and report to upper management regularly.
Qualifications:
3+ years of bartending experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role. Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail recipes. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe) preferred. Experience with bar POS systems and inventory management software.
