Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Bartender/cocktail server to join our team at Good Liquid Distilling Co, a new and upscale destination for craft cocktails. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for mixology, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to lead the bar team as the designated closer. This individual will play a crucial role in creating a memorable experience for our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar during closing hours.

Responsibilities:

Craft Cocktail Expertise:

Showcase a deep understanding of mixology, possessing the ability to create innovative and high-quality craft cocktails. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new and unique drink offerings to enhance the lounge’s reputation.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and a customer-first attitude.

Team Leadership:

Take charge as the designated closer, overseeing the bar team during closing hours. Lead by example, maintaining a positive and productive work environment. Coordinate with other staff to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.

Inventory Management:

Manage and monitor inventory levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies. Assist in prep and maintaining par levels to prevent stockouts.

Quality Control:

Enforce quality control standards to ensure consistency in cocktail preparation and presentation. Regularly inspect and clean equipment, glassware, and workstations to uphold hygiene and safety standards.

Cash Handling:

Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.

Training and Development:

Train new team members on cocktail recipes, customer service standards, and lounge procedures. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development among the bar staff.

Shift Reporting:

Provide detailed shift reports to management, including sales figures, inventory usage, and any incidents or noteworthy occurrences.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale establishment. Exceptional knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. TIPS or other relevant certifications is a plus.
