Server/ Bartender Hybrid Chica’s Cuban Cafe DeLand, FL 32720 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and exceptional customer service skills. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience. You will work in a fast-paced environment, showcasing your ability to multitask while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible serving practices. Assist with banquet services as needed, including setting up bars for events and serving drinks to guests. Adhere to food safety and handling regulations while preparing drinks and snacks. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable. Qualifications Proven experience as a Bartender in fine dining or high-volume establishments is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong cash handling skills with experience using POS systems or cash registers. Excellent math skills for managing transactions accurately. Familiarity with brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods is a plus. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Must be at least 21 years of age as per legal requirements.
