Job Description
Barback AC Hotel by Marriott Savannah Historic District Savannah, GA 31401 As a member of the North Point Hospitality team, the Barback assists in serving bar patrons by preparing garnishes, maintaining stock and ensuring that the bar area is clean and organized.
Essential Functions:
Retrieve orders from storeroom, visually check stock, and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and re-check stock upon delivery Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing, and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices, and storing back-up supplies in prescribed containers Check with and assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce Transport taps Replace and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs Maintain cleanliness and safety of bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas in accordance with federal state, local, and company codes Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage Assists bartenders with guest service during busy periods

This job operates in a professional bar area. This role routinely uses standard restaurant equipment.

This job will require use of fingers and hands, moving them quickly to handle food, dishes, glassware, and merchandise.
