This role requires a blend of responsibilities, including welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring an overall enjoyable dining experience. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing POS systems for order entry. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and upselling opportunities to enhance guest experience. Serve food and beverages in accordance with restaurant standards while ensuring proper food handling practices. Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred but not required. Strong upselling skills with the ability to enhance guest experience through recommendations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when needed.
