Bartender Bengal Tap Room Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong knowledge of bartending techniques. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, mixing and serving drinks, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies as needed. Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink selections. Monitor guest behavior to ensure compliance with local laws regarding alcohol service Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Requirements Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. Familiarity with cash registers or point-of-sale systems. A passion for helping others and creating enjoyable experiences for guests.
