- $25 an hour employment type: experience level: no experience required job title: Cook/Barback Maps Bar is seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a cook and bar-back.
This role is for someone who is passionate about great food / beverages and enjoys working in an upbeat, customer-focused environment. Experience is not mandatory. If you are willing to work diligently and learn we are happy to train you! Days /
Hours:
1-2, flexible to which days. 3PM-10:30PM +
- Daily work:
- Preparing some food pre-service; reading the prep list & reviewing the station.
- Assembling / cooking hot & cold sandwiches and plating snacks during service
- Intermittently clearing tables, helping the bartender as needed to ensure a smooth service. We are a small but at times busy bar so working together with the bartender to prioritize work correctly is key.
- Washing some dishes. Most food is on compostable disposables and we have a dish machine for glasses / bar wares
- we try to keep this to a minimum so we can focus on our service.
- Cleaning and closing down end of night
- Writing a prep / order list for the following day.
We have a good system for this and will train you. Compensation /
Pay:
Base pay is $15 an hour, plus tips. This said, we guarantee $18/hr and usually the position will earn between $19
- 25/hr.
