Non-Exempt Primary Objective of Position At The Canopy our bartenders can expect to work variable shifts in Luna, Salt Yard and buyouts of outlets. Prepare beverages and serve along with food to guests at the bar and/or on the floor, as scheduled in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner. Assist with inventory controls. Participate in the creative development of cocktails on seasonal drinks list. Essential Functions Perform opening and closing duties for the outlet Prepare beverages and serve along with food to guests Ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages. Maintain the cleanliness of the outlet area through disposing of all waste, clearing and cleaning all glassware, and wiping down bar and preparation areas. Smile, have eye contact, and greet guests immediately Handle special requests properly; anticipate guest’s needs Constantly, consistently scan the venue, especially your guests and promptly respond to resolve guest complaints with the Hilton Heart model. Take every opportunity to amaze the guests using Property Service Standards. Present checks to guests promptly by constantly, consistently checking on your guest. Use guests’ names. Actively ask for feedback from guests. Be knowledgeable and helpful about the local area, the hotel and the hotel services. Assist with outlet clean-up and storage related to closing duties. Other Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Upon employment, All Associates are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities. Anyone who violates company policies and expectations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Supportive Functions In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of the hotel: Attending all required training and meetings. Properly document all transactions. Adhere to company payment handling procedures. Adhere to proper procedures for charging checks to guest rooms. Ability to participate as a part of a team Physical Demands Most work tasks are performed indoors Must be able to move up to 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally Must be able to stand between 6 and 10 hours Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate equipment Qualifications High school education or equivalent experience. Work experience in a hotel is a Plus. Grooming All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Property Standards and must dress in professional appropriate attire.
