About King’s Grant Golf & Country:
King’s Grant is a spectacularly designed, semi-private 18 hole golf course from the mind of Jim Holmes, who was an architect for Jack Nicklaus Design. The course boasts a topography of long undulating mounds and swells, and was designed with large A1/A4 bentgrass greens and beautiful vistas from which to strike your golf ball. Each hole has a unique blend of elevation and scenic views that invite you to test the course, but beware; she holds perfectly placed bunkers, depth perception challenges and almost benign elevation rises and drops. Jim will attempt to lull you to sleep as you gaze out at the beauty of the course layout – don’t fall for it – keep the ball in the center of each fairway as it lays before you, fly your ball to the center of each green or approach, and you may just find an acceptable score at the end of your round. If you choose to test the corners and fly over the tall pines that sit as guardians to the green, like a knight would stand at the tower wall to protect their King, they will protect the course.
