Server/Bartender Gibb’s Garage Bar & Grille 3612 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, NH 03801 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by providing outstanding customer service, taking orders, and serving food and beverages. Your ability to engage with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere will contribute significantly to our restaurant’s success. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner. Present menus, explain daily specials, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using a point-of-sale system. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining proper presentation standards. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and special requests are met. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure the highest quality of service. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred but not required. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments effectively. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
