Join us as a Barclays Internal Audit Global Markets TechnologyAVP, where you will enhance operational efficiency and drivetechnological advancements within the Global Markets Technologyteam. In this role, you’ll support audit scoping, assess risks andcontrols, evaluate control effectiveness, and perform issuevalidation to strengthen processes. Ideal candidates will haveaudit experience, expertise in Global and Capital Marketstechnology, and skills in SQL and Python, with certifications likeCISA or CIA preferred. Collaborate across teams, foster strongrelationships, and contribute to continuous monitoring and thedelivery of audit plans. To be successful as a Barclays InternalAudit Global Markets Technology AVP, you should have experiencewith: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of services Previousexperience in risk-based Technology auditing or risk/controlactivities within a complex Technology environment Relevantprofessional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, and CISA wouldbe beneficial Experience with or exposure to data analytics, codingsuch as Python, SQL and/or other data science/machine learningtechniques will help you hit the ground running Knowledge of newand emerging financial products and services and practicalunderstanding of relevant regulatory environment would be a plusYou may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success inrole, such as risk and controls, change and transformation,business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, aswell as job-specific technical skills. This role is based out ofWhippany, NJ. Purpose of the role To support the development ofaudits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by workingcollaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information andrecommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.
Accountabilities Audit development and delivery support, includingfinancial statements, accounting practices, operational processes,IT systems and risk management. Identification of operational risksto support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) AuditPlan through risk assessments. Assessment of internal controleffectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate riskaligned to regulatory requirements. Communication of key findingsand recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner,senior managers and directors. Identification of regulatory newsand industry trends/developments to provide timely insight andrecommendations for best practice. Assistant Vice PresidentExpectations To advise and influence decision making, contribute topolicy development and take responsibility for operationaleffectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ businessdivisions. Lead a team performing complex tasks, using welldeveloped professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work thatimpacts the whole business function.
