Bartender/Mixologist Il Mondo Vecchio Italian Restaurant 54 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940 Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Mixologist to join our dynamic team at 54 Main Bar and Grille in Madison, NJ. As a Mixologist, you will be responsible for crafting unique and delicious cocktails while providing exceptional service to our guests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of beverage preparation. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register and Aloha POS system. Engage with customers to provide recommendations, take orders, and ensure satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Stay updated on current trends in mixology and cocktail presentation. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic work environment. Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management. Experience working in a nightclub or high-energy bar setting is preferred. Familiarity with brewing techniques for crafting specialty cocktails. Excellent cash handling skills with experience using cash registers. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong sales skills to promote beverage specials and upsell menu items. A positive attitude and willingness to help teammates and customers alike.
