Bartender 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Brooklyn, NY 11211 Job Overview Johnny’s is a family-owned Peruvian Chinese restaurant opening July 2025 in Williamsburg. This position is part-time, shifts are weekdays (Tu, W, Th) and weekends (Fr, Sa, Su). Restaurant operating hours are 5p-10p during the week and 5p-10:30p on the weekend. Compensation is an hourly rate of $16.50 per hour. Must be available for in-person interviews (happening week of June 23rd and training early July prior to restaurant opening. Responsibilities Greeting guests and presenting menus Taking accurate food and beverage orders Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards. Checking on guests to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns Processing payments using the Toast POS system Setting and clearing bar seating area Assisting with opening and closing duties Stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce. Cut, store, and ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables. Respond professionally to inebriated guests, as needed. Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations. Qualifications 2+ years experience in a bartender role is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of Toast POS systems Punctual and reliable with a positive attitude Shift Expectations Arrive on time for scheduled shifts Adhere to the restaurant’s dress code Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor Follow all guest service rules and procedures A successful Bartender will greet customers, learn and remember their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, along with preparing and serving beverages. Uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements, to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team members. Physical Demands During the course of performing the physical demands of this position, associates are expected to observe and adhere to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment. Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands. Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds.
