Experienced Barback Position Available In Queens, New York

Experienced Barback Marriott 13525 142nd St, Jamaica, NY 11436 NYC Hospitality Powerhouses Concrete and IGC Hospitality Groups are seeking an experienced Barbacks for its high volume venues at The Marriott JFK property.

Barback job duties include:

Operations:

Complete opening side work checklist for shift daily Prepare bar for service by stocking spirits and service supplies, condiments, candles, napkins, plates, and utensils Complete opening/closing side work checklists for shift Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing beverages, following Company standards Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines, as outlined by Employee Handbook Maintain organization and aesthetic appeal of bar counter and displays Monitor inventory; restock bar inventory as needed; inform Management of any product or supply needs Clear bar after guests, wipe counter or seats with dampened sanitation cloths Remove used pitchers, buckets, cups, napkins, trays when guests no longer need them Stack dirty food trays and other tableware in kitchen for cleaning. Update knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities Complete closing side work checklist for shift daily Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized Inform Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations

Essential Functions:

The ability to speak, understand, read, and write in English The ability to understand basic math The ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day The ability to perform essential job functions when working under stress, in fast-paced environment The ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress The ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business Maintains general knowledge of restaurant, location, transportation, management team, etc. Attend mandatory staff meetings
