Bartender 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 40 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331 Bartender Bartender is a professional, high-energy position that utilizes their skills to serve classic cocktails and other exciting beverages to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items and prepare and serve beverages and food. This position will also create recipes, utilize proper measuring and mixing techniques as well as proper equipment and ingredients. To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Responsibilities
- Properly set up and stock bar inventory and supplies for service
- Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations
- Welcome and interact with customers, assessing their needs and preferences
- Present menus and be able to provide detailed information pertaining to each menu. Make recommendations in accordance with customers’ needs and preferences
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Check customers identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons by properly measuring and mixing ingredients
- Follow all relevant health department regulations for proper food safety
- Handling cash, credit, and all other transactions accurately
- Be able to balance a cash drawer
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing trash, cleaning countertops and surfaces, wiping liquor/wine bottles, washing glasses, utensils, and all equipment to house standards
- Take accurate inventories to ensure proper ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Develop new cocktail recipes that complement the restaurant menu and concept Requirements & Skills

- Able to handle money accurately and operate a POS system

- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50 lbs. as well as standing on our feet for up to 8 hours or more
- Additional education, training and certifications may be required including but not limited to RAMP certification
