Bartender/Server Wild Olive Cucina Italiana 2867 Maybank Highway, Johns Island, SC 29455 Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests while expertly crafting beverages. This role requires a strong understanding of drink recipes, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and stocked. Engage with customers, providing exceptional service while taking drink orders and offering recommendations. Process transactions accurately using POS systems, including Aloha POS, cash register operations, and handling payments. Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; assist with ordering when necessary. Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons. Collaborate with kitchen staff during events or banquets to ensure seamless service delivery. Stay updated on current drink trends, brewing techniques, and menu offerings to enhance guest experience. Qualifications Proven experience in bartending or a related role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations. Basic understanding of retail math for accurate inventory management and sales tracking. Knowledge of brewing techniques is advantageous but not required. Ability to handle food safely in accordance with health regulations. Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards guests and team members. Must be of legal drinking age as per local regulations.
