  • Hold a valid food handler’s license
  • Hold a valid RBS certification
  • Ability to work in relative harmony with a pleasant demeanor toward co-workers and guests
  • Physical capability of executing job position duties and tasks as well as any reasonable task requested of you by your supervisors and managers
  • Ability to work extended hours walking and standing
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Must have the ability to carry trays/pans weighing up to approx.

Main Job Position Duties:
  • Your principal responsibility is to interact with and be attentive/serve the restaurant guests, explain the concept, sell drink and dessert items, take orders and bring ordered drinks and food to the table, maintain the table, and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service to all patrons.
  • Report to shift at the scheduled time, in proper uniform and dress code
  • this includes pen, paper, wine key, crumber, etc.
  • Check in with management at beginning of a shift for all pre-shift duties, e.g. stock stations, stock glasses, ensure the restaurant is clean and ready for the new shift, and polish dishes/fold napkins as needed.
  • Greet the tables and assist the hostess in pulling chairs. Ensure every table greeted understands the menu concept. Even when a guest is returning to the table, always pull the chair where feasible.
  • Bring cheese bread appetizer and side dishes to tables immediately at appropriate progression of menu.
  • Ensure you are serving alcohol in a knowledgeable and responsible manner. Educate self or ask for assistance with basic bar/alcohol language (wine varietals, martini options, glassware, etc.)
  • Monitor tables in your sections for water, non-alcoholic beverage, cheese bread, and side dish refills.
  • Assist with bussing tables with tray immediately after guest has left.
  • Assist with setting up bussed tables with linens and table set-up ASAP.
  • Ensure you are following any composting, recycling, and waste programs of the restaurant.
  • Maintain drink station, water bottles, and pitchers.
  • Assist your teammates when available and perform any reasonable job or task request from the management.
  • Perform duties in a prompt and efficient manner with a smile and positive attitude.
SAFETY:
  • Be aware and correct any object, condition, spill, or substance that might cause harm to co-workers or customers.
  • Practice proper lifting (from the legs) and ask for assistance when lifting or moving heavy objects.
  • Use common sense and a proactive approach to identify and resolve any potential safety hazards.
NOTE:

This restaurant operates seven days a week. Because of the nature of the restaurant industry, employees may be asked to work different hours, holiday schedules, or to perform special duties based on customer demand
