Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Snack Bar Assistant is a non-exempt, seasonal position responsible for serving food and drinks at the Whitworth Tennis Club’s Snack Bar. Ensures the highest quality of service as meets expectations of Club members. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below and in the spirit of the Club’s mission and vision. The Snack Bar attendant plays a key role in ensuring members and their guests have a positive experience at the club by exhibiting excellent customer service.

N/A Duties/Responsibilities:

Provides information regarding dining availability for members and guests. Greeting members/guests and taking their respective orders by providing immediate attention. Handles the production and service of food and beverage products as necessary in the Snack Bar. Re-stocks food, beverages, and other necessary supplies (where applicable) from the kitchen. Provides adequate display of garnishes and condiments on “self-serve” basis. Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food. Ensuring that all front of the house operation procedures, including food and beverage handling, storage, and hygiene meet safety standards and regulations. Always maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. As part of our team atmosphere, each employee will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, even if it is not part of your day-to-day job description. Attends and conducts F&B related meetings as required. Performs other duties as designated by the Director of F&B and senior management.

Physical Requirements:

Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift-up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.

Qualifications:

Welcoming and energized personality Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and familiarity with restaurant POS systems) Experience/ Education Prior food service experience, a plus but not required
