As a member of our team, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and/or serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will enhance the overall experience for our guests, making them feel valued and appreciated. Duties Prepare and/or serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers, ensuring quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating. Handle cash transactions accurately using the Toast POS system while providing excellent customer service. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Manage inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, ensuring timely restocking as needed. Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is beneficial. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively. Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience using POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus but not mandatory. A genuine desire to help others and provide exceptional customer service.
