Summary:
Provides complete services for members and their guests relating to handling of bags, golf carts, and driving range operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Performs all duties according to the daily procedures set by the Golf Professionals.
- Prepares all golf carts for the day’s play. Ensures carts are clean and stocked with pencils, scorecards, towels, sand, and sand scoops.
- Brings carts from cart barn to cart staging area outside Golf Shop.
- Removes bags from Bag Storage Room and loads onto carts.
- Transports range balls to each end of the range and fills appropriate containers.
- Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
- Operates range picker to retrieve balls.
- Washes all range balls daily.
- Removes bags from carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
- Returns carts to cart barn; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from carts and saves reusable items; washes cart; parks cart in cart barn and connects charger cable.
- Maintains cart storage building and surrounding areas in a neat, organized manner.
- Monitors areas periodically throughout the day to ensure that they are neat and orderly.
- Opens practice facilities to ensure that it is ready for use at the posted opening time.
- Ensures all comfort stations are neat and fully stocked.
- Maintains practice facilities throughout the day by checking comfort stations and chipping greens for neatness and stock levels.
- Assists in special events of the Golf Center.
- Assists all staff members in enforcing policies, procedures, and services to our membership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires some knowledge of the game of golf. Previous country club experience preferred. Mobility to carry and lift golf bags above head weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to remain on your feet and work outside conditions for long periods. Ability to understand and carry out instructions. Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members. Must be able to multi-task and think quickly. Must be able to work efficiently in a stressful environment.
