Full Job Description Position Summary:

Responsible for the initial contact with guests upon their arrival. Greet all guests with warm welcome and explanation of course procedure; handle guests’ golf clubs and equipment; clean clubs and assist guest at completion of round.

Pay Rate:

The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education – High school education or equivalent, with valid driver’s license. Minimum Experience – Previous golf experience highly preferred. Must work both independently and in a team environment. Must possess great customer service skills. Knowledge of the game of golf. Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written. Must be able to pass a background check.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

Serve as the “first impression” guest service representative assisting guests as necessary. Assure golf carts are clean, charged, and staged for play. Greet all guests and handle golf equipment promptly. Direct or drive guest to pro shop for check-in. Manage inventory of Rental Clubs and provide for guests as necessary. Communicate frequently with pro shop regarding process of tee sheet, special instructions, cart path rules, and number of carts needed in staging area. Set-up, manage and maintain practice range throughout the day. Assure all equipment and supplies are in order for day’s play. Assure all equipment is clean, charge or gassed, and ready for use. Keep sand barrel filled with adequate supply of sand. Meet guests at completion of round, cleaning clubs and placing in guest’s vehicle. Assure security of all equipment and facilities. Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort. All other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds across medium – long distance. Must be able to stand out in all weather conditions for extended period of time. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
