Daniel Island Yacht Club Part Time Dock Attendant:

• $17 hr depending on experience This position requires weekend and holiday availability, punctuality, and reliability.

We are fast paced during our busy season, with overtime available to those who perform consistently. All positions are compensated at or above industry average, with advancement possible for those who exceed expectations. In person interviews for qualified applicants will be part of the hiring process.

OVERVIEW

The Dock attendant will be responsible for opening the office as well as keeping it cleaned and organized. You will also be responsible for being knowledgeable of the waterfront, answering questions and pointing people in the right direction. You will be responsible for checking boat rental in and out. Receiving calls from the Yacht Club Quartermaster in regards to members boat rentals, charter or launch requests will need to be logged and passed along to waterfront staff. You will become familiar with basic boat upkeep and cleaning of Yacht club owned vessels. In person interviews for qualified applicants will be part of the hiring process. Assisting vessel that wish to pick up and drop off at north will be a daily activity. Hours Split shifts possible, 8am

• 2pm, 1pm-close. Full shifts possible, 8am-Close. Hours may vary due to season. Day to Day Tasks
• Opening the Sailing Center
• Checking the docks, building, boats
• Confirming and making Reservations for waterfront activities
• Checking Boat Rentals in and out
• Keeping dock clean and tidy
• Making sure boats and sailing center are clean and prepped for daily activities
• Detailing yacht club boats
• Answering questions and being friendly
• Enforcing dock rules and regulations
• Closing and securing the center Requires ability to stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time.

Requires bending, stooping, and reaching. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires ability to lift and move heavy objects. Requires ability to function professionally in an environment that is both physically and mentally flexible.
