The Breakfast Attendant’s responsibilities include following a daily schedule, performing proper set-up, maintenance, break-down and cleaning of the breakfast area; responsible for providing excellent guest service and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive abundant looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times. Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day Assists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices Set up of serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other products Set up and arrangement of cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated Removes trash from service area Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage Return reusable food supplies to storage after service Vacuum, sweep carpets & floors Mop floors Dust, brush, polish, & vacuum furniture Dust and cleans room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.; using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisor Inspect areas for safety hazards Check operating conditions of equipment Report lost & found articles per hotel procedure Report maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager. Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests. Must be able to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructions Must be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies and convey information to staff and management. Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation. Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work without constant supervision. Must be able to work well as a part of a team. Must be engaging with all guest throughout breakfast period; responding to guest needs as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Standing and walking for entire length of shift. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to understand and follow directions Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills EEO Employer
