Job Summary:

Provide assistance within a school food servicefacility with preparation, service, and storage of food andsupplies; program accountability and safety and sanitationprocedures.

Essential Duties:

• Attend and complete required job related training classes andworkshops.
• Practice appropriate procedures to assure sanitation and safetystandards are met in the preparation of the service area;preparing, serving and storing food; use and care of equipment;personal habits.
• Follow verbal and/or written instructions for preparing,portioning, garnishing and serving meals, storing food andutilizing and maintaining equipment and facility.
• Consistently demonstrate efficient and productive use of time andresources to meet established productivity standards.
• Maintain with accuracy all required records and forms includingtime sheets, absence reports, food and supply usage records,cashier records, etc.
• Consistently demonstrate the ability to communicate positivelywith students, co-workers and school staff. — Follow proceduresin personnel matters including grievance, absence, job bidding andestablished dress code.
• If cashier, receive continued on-the-job training as required bysoftware updates; maintain accuracy in daily transactions and moneycollections and accounting.
• Perform food service related tasks as assigned by manager orhis/her representative.
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some experience in food service work preferred; or any equivalentcombination of training and experience, which provides the requiredknowledge, skills, and abilities
