Purpose:
The Busser/Runner is responsible for providing a welcoming environment for our guests by ensuring the dining room is clean, free from trash and debris, and tables are set up properly. Works within a team to clear and reset tables quickly between seating’s and to deliver food to tables promptly from the kitchen to the guests. In this role, organization is key, as bringing the correct food to the correct table and guest is of utmost importance. Additionally, you will help keep the restaurant clean, by clearing and resetting tables during service (busing), and ensuring that all stations are kept neat and organized. Flexibility is crucial to this position, as you will provide the helping hands wherever needed. Other tasks will include helping the kitchen staff and servers prepare for each service.
Essential Functions:
Provide friendly, courteous and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests. Clean and set up tables and perform other food service related duties, including general cleaning and set up. Responsible for the correct service of food to the restaurant and bar, and proper communication with the expeditor. Assist bartenders and servers with ensuring food quality for our guests and in retrieving any additional guest requests from the kitchen. Lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. Complete a range of cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, cleaning windows, removing and disposing of trash, insects and debris and emptying ashtrays. Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors. Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers. Perform deep cleaning tasks such as cleaning/waxing floors and any special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; at least one (1) year of experience required.
