Job title Banquet Set-Up Attendant Reports to Banquet Manager Classification Hourly, nonexempt Working Hours According to shift assignment Job purpose Responsible for preparing banquet space for all banquet functions in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the Clubs continuing effort to deliver outstanding Member and Guest service. Duties and responsibilities Greet and interact with Members and guests in a warm and friendly manner. Set tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, and other items according to specifications of the event. Set tables with silverware, glassware and decorations. Check and adjust lighting as needed Obtain linen and drape tables. Set up events food and beverage stations Cleans, stores and secures in an organized manner all tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment, platforms/stages and other equipment for banquet functions. Vacuum carpet / rugs. Complete opening and closing procedures as well as side-work. Maintain neat and organized work area to include adhering to sanitation standards according to state law and health codes. Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age Have reliable personal transportation to and from work 1+ year of relevant experience preferred Working conditions Work is primarily indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls. Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golfs Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding. Use the following safety precautions when using an 8ft.

Ensure the ladder is placed on a firm level surface, and do not place the ladder near a doorway. Ensure there are non-skid shoes on the ladder. If using a medal ladder, be sure that it is not near electrical wires. One person on a ladder at one time, and ensure another staff member is holding the ladder in position. Never overreach.
