Job Description Key Job Functions Train servers in all aspects of banquet service Maintain discipline in function rooms Must coordinate and time functions to ensure quality of food Adhere to Royal Sonesta standards Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of employees in the Banquet Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of units Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications and Skills A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
