Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Food Server Assistant, Banquets Back of House (BOH), is responsible for preparing, servicing, bussing, and closing functions. They deliver service and menu items as required and provide assistance to the culinary team during food services. This role involves cleaning, organizing, and maintaining neat and orderly service areas. Additionally, the Food Server Assistant transports clean and soiled equipment, plates, silverware, and chef’s items. They support the dish room team with organization, cleanliness, transportation of equipment, washing tasks, and equipment setup for subsequent shifts. Other duties include mopping, sweeping, lifting tables for bussing, pushing and pulling equipment, cleaning and organizing common areas on the property, as well as handling linen requisitions and polishing silver, copper, and cast iron when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
