TITLE Assistant Dining Room Manager
DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:
Supervise and direct wait staff to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage the assigned dining venue to ensure that each resident and guest receives the highest quality in food and service.
Supervise and direct employees assigned to your dining venue.
Participate in interviewing, selecting, and prescreening process of new hires.
Make rmendations regarding disciplinary actions as needed.
Participate in the continued employment decisions of each employee.
Facilitate and rmend appropriate training as needed.
Train all new employees assigned to your dining venue.
Make rmendations regarding promotion or demotion of employees.
Maintain a presence in the dining room to ensure that the area is clean, properly set, and being operated inpliance with the prores set forth by the dining room manager.
Ensuring all special functions of the day are properly cleaned and billed correctly.
Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with residents, guests, and employees.
Present and promote exceptional interpersonal skills by being cheerful and positive toward residents, guests and employees in person and on the telephone.
Learn names of regular guests and make them feel at home.
Remain vigilant to employee service, friendliness, and dress code to ensure that established prores and policies are observed.
Help to maintain a work safe environment.
Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:
Minimum of two years of food and beverage experience. Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant operating prores.
Basic knowledge of math andputer operations.
Must follow department dress code and wear clean uniform and clean shoes.
Must wear name tag at all times when on John Knox Village property
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and requires excessive walking.
Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., bend and squat during working hours.
Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable amodations. Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift, stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and smell. Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Must maintain a professional, respectful, friendly demeanor with all residents, family members, guests, and staff at all times.
