• Statesboro, GA Department Information Lakeside Cafe Job Summary The Student Assistant will support the Lakeside Cafe as a Student Dining Room Attendant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2025.

The Student Dining Room Attendant plays a key role in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and organized dining environment for students, faculty, and staff. This position involves maintaining dining areas, assisting guests, and working as part of a team to provide a great dining experience. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities
Greet and assist guests in the dining area
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, food stations, and counters regularly
Restock utensils, napkins, and condiments as needed
Sweep, mop, and maintain dining floors for cleanliness and safety
Empty trash and recycling bins as needed
Clear trays and organize dish return areas
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude
Follow all university and health regulation safety and sanitation procedures Shift Specifics Minimum 15 hours per week, up to 25 hours per week

  Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University
  Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Previous experience in food service, customer service, or hospitality
  Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  Proposed Salary $10.
