- Statesboro, GA Department Information Eagle Dining Services Job Summary The Student Assistant will support Eagle Dining Services as a Student Serving Attendant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2025.
The Student Serving Attendant is responsible for assisting in the food service area, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the dining experience is smooth and efficient for students and guests. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and interacting directly with customers to deliver quality food and service. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities
Serve food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
Ensure proper portion control and presentation of food
Maintain cleanliness in the station, including wiping down front-facing areas and ensuring condiment stations are clean and well-stocked
Assist customers with food choices and answer questions about menu items
Assist with setting up food stations and arranging food displays
Monitor food temperature and quality to ensure safety and freshness
Help with restocking food
Assist with cleaning and sanitizing workstations, trays, and utensils
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors Shift Specifics Minimum 15 hours, up to 25 hours per week

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Previous experience in food service or customer service
Knowledge of basic food safety practices
