The Impact you will make : As a busser/ silverware polisher, you will be responsible for using your excellent time management skills to set priorities while quickly responding to the changing needs within the restaurant. Position Summary The Busser/ Silverware polisher is responsible for clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as well as polishing silverware and glassware. He/she must always be attentive and ready to assist guests with water or beverage refills and to ensure tables are bussed in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities Follows all company policies and procedures and safety and sanitation guidelines. Responsible for bus station cleanliness and stocking of service areas throughout the shift. Performs opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner. Busses and resets tables with a sense of urgency. Assists guests by clearing away dishes, glassware, and refilling beverages. Empties trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it or upon manager’s request. Cleans highchairs and boosters before and after use. Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate. Employees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees. Greet all guests as they walk through the restaurant. Skills/Requirements Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure. Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised. Must have flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays. Follow all company policies and procedures including proper timekeeping and emergency and safety procedures. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception. Requires manual and finger dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
