Food Cart Assistant / Cashier (Part-Time) 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Hammond, LA 70403 Job Summary Archie’s Hot Dog Island is looking for a Food Cart Assistant / Cashier to work at our Food Cart, cashier and provide excellent customer service to our customers. This position will report to the Cart Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a commercial restaurant kitchen for 1+ years, and had a desire to advance in the restaurant industry. Must have strong attention to detail, excellent leadership and customer service skills. Responsibilities Assist with the daily operations of the hot dog cart, cashiering and customer service Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards Provide excellent customer service Manage cash handling and point-of-sale operations Experience Background in customer service with a focus on enhancing guest experiences. Familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential. Experience in kitchen operations will be considered an asset. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Requirements 1+ years of experience in the restaurant industry and a desire to advance in the restaurant industry. ServSafe Handler certification preferred Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic References required Must pass a background check Compensation $11/hr plus tips
