Job Summary:

The Banquet Set-Up and Breakdown Attendant is responsible for preparing event spaces in accordance with event specifications and hotel standards. This includes setting up tables, chairs, stages, linens, and audiovisual equipment as needed, and breaking down and cleaning the space post-event. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering outstanding service in support of the event experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and arrange banquet rooms as specified by banquet event orders (BEOs) or instructions from the Banquet Manager. Move and position tables, chairs, risers, podiums, dance floors, and other furniture/equipment. Place linens, tableware, centerpieces, and other décor items as directed. Assist with minor audiovisual and lighting setups (e.g., projectors, microphones). Ensure cleanliness and neatness of banquet rooms before, during, and after events. Tear down and store all equipment and supplies properly after events. Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage rooms and equipment areas. Communicate effectively with banquet servers, managers, and other departments. Report any maintenance needs or damage to equipment to the supervisor promptly. Follow all safety procedures and company standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in event setup or hospitality a plus but not required. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull heavy equipment. Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

Working Conditions:

Physical work requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Fast-paced environment with time-sensitive setups and breakdowns. Indoor and occasional outdoor event settings

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
