The hourly pay range for this position is $22 per hour – $24 per hour per hour. Work Hours The work hours for this position are approximately Mon-Fri, 9:30 am-5:00 am. Why Guckenheimer? Key Purpose Deliver and set up catered foods and other foodstuffs as required in a visually appealing and timely manner to Guckenheimer and client standards. Make deliveries on campus to the correct location at the designated time. Set up catered meals, attractively arranging them with all required utensils and condiments. Success Criteria Passion for customer service Positive attitude Dependable Ability to communicate effectively Ideal Candidate Experience Must be able to use standard kitchen equipment correctly and safely. Chefs’ knives, Convection ovens, meat and cheese slicing machines, steamers, mandolins, grills, and broilers Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for food preparation Minimum experience in catering and/or events of 1 year. Must have knowledge of standard catering presentation techniques Ability to use basic computer programs for inputting and organizing data and menus Experience with Microsoft Office and Google programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) Possess current SERV Safe or Food Handler certification or the ability to be certified immediately after hired Must possess a valid drivers license (some locations) Key Accountabilities Organize, deliver, and set up catered foods and other foodstuffs on time in a professional and unobtrusive manner with all pieces of the order along with décor, garnishes, equipment, utensils, and condiments Read and organize delivery schedules to ensure on time deliveries Correctly and safely use standard catering equipment: chef knives, carts, chafing dishes and sterno, lift gates, risers, etc. Implement standard catering presentation techniques, catering products, and quality control Maintain HACCP program requirements Follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents Commitment to the service values and ethics of the client company Substitute for or assist other catering employees during emergencies or rush periods Accept feedback and work calmly and effectively in high pressured situations Physical Demands & Work Environment Lift a minimum of 25 pounds Work on their feet 8 hours per day excluding breaks Work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods Must be able to use a computer keyboard for up to 2 hours continuously Deliver hot and cold food to on-campus sites using carts and vans Use proper lifting skills when handling stock Load and push a cart a short distance
