The Food Service Worker supports daily food service operations through safe assembly, delivery, and service of meals to hospital patients, visitors, and staff. This role ensures adherence to sanitation and food safety standards while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Essential Functions:

Attend departmental meetings, in-services, and training sessions as assigned. Respond to customer needs and address concerns in a timely, courteous manner. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure sanitation of equipment in accordance with HACCP standards. Exhibit a consistently positive and friendly demeanor in all interactions. Inform supervisors of product shortages, discrepancies, or operational concerns. Support departmental goals for service quality and customer satisfaction. Work across tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen areas to prepare and serve food. Assemble patient trays, serve food/beverages to retail customers, and deliver/retrieve trays from patient rooms as assigned. Clean stations, equipment, and floors following each meal service. Operate dish machines, trash compactors, and assist with general cleaning tasks such as mopping. Prepare additional food items to support tray line and cafeteria operations. Participate in regular sanitation projects as assigned. Assist in training new hires and cross-training existing team members.
