Job Summary The Bookstore Café Support is under the supervision of the Bookstore Manager and Bookstore/Café Specialist(s), and is responsible for assistance in bookstore and café operations.

BOOKSTORE

Assist Customers in Bookstore, retrieve books from back shelves.
Assist in distributing online orders to students, verify by ID.
Perform light-duty housekeeping, i.e. dusting and vacuuming in Bookstore. CAFÉ
Prepare coffee and tea during Café operating hours.
Prepare other food items as the café grows.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized café.
Perform medium-duty cleaning and stocking in Café. i.e. washing dishes, mopping, removing trash and debris.
Attend training on POS system, and other required training around food service. The position requires some major physical activity. The employee may be required to lift or move up to 75lbs., climb a ladder, and stand on their feet for long periods of time. Salary ($15.00/hr) Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 6 months or related experience in providing customer service in a fast-paced retail setting. Preferred Qualifications High school Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of work experience in retail or food service.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer and office skills required.
Ability to train and operate Café equipment.
Excellent customer service in a variety of work situations required.
Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential material. Special Instructions
